RealPlayer crashes when I click on 'Library'
Why does RealPlayer crash or freeze when I click on "Library"?
Below are some recommended solutions for this issue. If one does not work, please try the next one.
Solution 1: Update to the latest build of RealPlayer 18.
Download the most current version from www.real.com.
Note: We are aware that customers who use Google Sign-in to access their RealPlayer account may see only a grey background when they first log in to RealPlayer. Simply close and re-start RealPlayer to correct the problem.
Solution 2: Remove specific library files from your PC.
After using the RealPlayer, Downloader, or Converter, it is possible for a RealPlayer library configuration file to grow too large and cause RealPlayer to hang or crash when trying to access the library. The solution for this issue is to delete two RealPlayer files from your PC:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Real\RealPlayer\library\view.xml
C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\library\default.xml (for 32-bit PCs)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer\library (for 64-bit PCs)
After these two files are removed, this crash should no longer occur.
