Why can't I cast a video that's stored on my Android phone or tablet?
This can depend on the format and size of the file you're trying to cast. Chromecast supports the formats listed here: https://developers.google.com/cast/supported_media_types
If your videos are in a different format, or if the video bitrate is higher than 14 mbps, they will need to be uploaded to your RealCloud first so we can convert them to a supported format for casting.
External SD card: If your videos are stored on an external SD card, we are aware that these videos currently can't be cast with Chromecast. We are working to resolve this issue in a future update to our app.

Casting used to work fine, but now it doesn't. What happened?
This can occur if another app was recently installed that adversely affects network connectivity. For example, some customers have reported that turning off the AdBlock Plus or Ad-Aware anti-virus app resolved their playback issues.
Also, make sure that you have the most recent version of the RealTimes app on your device.
Finally, restarting the Chromecast can also resolve this issue:
1. Remove the Chromecast device from the HDMI slot.
2. Unplug the USB cable or power cable (depending on how the device is powered up).
3. Reconnect the Chromecast and try again.
These suggestions don't help. What else can I try?
Bandwidth and connectivity within your home Wi-Fi network may affect Chromecast performance. The number of devices connected to the network and length of time since the router was restarted may also impact performance.
