When I add a CD to RealPlayer, it no longer displays any of the track or artist information. How can I fix this?
We have changed our process for retrieving music data, and this is now a paid feature of RealPlayer Plus.
If you have the free version of RealPlayer, you can upgrade to RealPlayer Plus to retrieve music information, or you can manually edit the information for the CD. To learn how to add song information, click here.
If you have RealPlayer Plus, make sure you have the latest version of RealPlayer, released on March 18, 2017:
- Open RealPlayer.
- Click the RealPlayer logo in the upper left.
- Select Check for Update and follow the prompts.
You can also try the following solutions if the track information still does not appear after updating:
Solution 1: Verify that RealPlayer can connect to the Internet.
RealPlayer uses Internet Explorer to connect to the Internet. Open an Internet Explorer browser window; if you can connect to any website, go on to Solution 2. If you are unable to connect to the Internet using Internet Explorer, click here for next steps.
Solution 2: Check if your firewall software is blocking the connection.
If you have firewall software, it may be blocking RealPlayer from connecting to the database. Please click here for details.
