'RealPlayer has detected a corruption and needs to restart'
What can I do if I get a 'RealPlayer has detected a corruption in the RealPlayer database and needs to restart' error?
The following instructions apply to RealPlayer 16 and RealPlayer Cloud only.
If you see the error "RealPlayer has detected a corruption in the RealPlayer database and needs to restart," then you will need to restore your RealPlayer database:
1. Start RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo in the upper left corner, then select Preferences.
3. In the Category pane, double-click Library and then click Advanced.
4. Click the Database button, then the Restore from Backup button, then OK.
This restores your library to the last saved automatic or manual backup.
If the problem persists, perform a clean install of RealPlayer (deleting RealPlayer and all its folders).
