Missing album art
Why is there no cover art for some of my albums in RealPlayer, when most albums do display the art?
RealPlayer queries for album and artist metadata from a third-party content provider. The information they provide to us does not always include the cover art. We apologize for any inconvenience.
You may manually add art to your music by selecting the Details command from the right-click menu (in RealPlayer 16, the option is Edit > Clip Info). In the dialog that opens, you can see the current art associated to a track or group of tracks, and select a new image file from your hard drive by clicking the Browse button. Artwork can be in JPEG, BMP, or PNG format.
If you have RealPlayer Plus or a premium/unlimited subscription to RealTimes, you can also use Cleaner to add the missing album art:
- Select a song or songs in your Library.
- In the task bar, click Tools > Add Missing Album Art.
- To start the process, click Start Scan.
- The first time you try Cleaner, it is best to click Review Results. There is no "undo" for Cleaner. (You can still go into each song individually and edit.) To make permanent changes and skip doing a review, click Save All Changes.
