When is my credit card actually charged during an online order?
For all RealNetworks products sold at www.real.com, your credit card is charged when you submit your order.
If you sign up for a free trial subscription, your credit card is authorized (but not charged) on the day you sign up, and is then charged on the day after the free trial period has ended. If you see what appears to be a $1.00 charge on your account at the start of the free trial, rest assured this is not an actual charge but merely an authorization to confirm that the payment method is valid. Banks typically release the authorization hold within a few days.
